Hey what did the VIP/Lolla lounge wrist bands cost last year?

Moving this to the Tickets forum (and deleting all the stupid responses).

Any helpful answers would be appreciated. I think they're approximately $1700/pair, but I'm not sure.

I've never gotten VIP tix but I'm more or less aware of what you with them. But my question to those who have; is if they are worth it?

EDIT: I mean, I would have to eat a lot of food and drink lots of beer to feel good about paying that much.

It's worth it if $800 seems like a good price to:
a. sit under an umbrella
b. drink free beer and wine
c. get a buffet laid out twice a day
d. get shuttled from the North to the South stage in a golf cart
e. pee in a toilet that's not a porta-potty
f. potentially see someone famous

Doesn't seem worth it to me.

Plus, you miss out on the true experience, man...

I am considering just for the free food/beer factor. I easily spent $100-$200 on food/drinks and I left the park hungry each day and sober 2/3 days.

Plus I wouldn't mind not standing in H20 lines. You can always still leave the VIP area to watch from the mud pits.

g. have an express line into the park (in theory)

Also, the alcohol has included Sailor Jerry's rum, Southern Comfort, and Tito's vodka. They even had Patron for a short period of time last year.

The golf cart service may be worth it alone.

I never really saw anyone famous unless you count Greg Kot.

You'll need to get a wristband but there are people walking around checking IDs and giving them out (seriously they will be like the first people you see when you get into the park). Beer is expensive.

edit: v v v This too.

No more expensive than a beer in a metropolitan bar/sports arena. My complaint with alcohol is the lack of hard liquor.

Evidently you can sneak it in as I remember thousands of passed out Pearl Jam fans with empty bottles of whiskey next to them at 2 in the afternoon a few years back. That would definitely be cheaper than VIP.

Actually, Driftwood's support of sneaking in vodka extra bottles of water is pretty favorable in most voting districts.

yeah, I think I spent maybe $15 each day on food at the fest. ate breakfast either at the hotel or somewhere in town, then had something later in the afternoon to keep me satisfied, then something smallish after I got back to the hotel.

I bet I lost about 5 lbs every day...

Well if you throw in the random Brazilian, honeymooning couple that double kissed me during the foos I'd say I got a bargain.

It got cold.

So I wanted a beer (wine) jacket. I also traded in my sandles for wine shoes as well.

I spend around 100 dollars a day. Two sport bottles = 48. Plus I usually have some beer and two meals and ice tea.

3 Sport Bottles ($72) 3 to 4 Beers ($21-$28) about $20 for food so about $120 a day for this guy.

That's a good idea. This year I'm just going to sneak in some Seroquel.

tickets were 850 last year, so that's a 25%+ increase? ....The heck?!

Personally, the "not having to pee in a port-o-potty" bit was well worth the extra 635 for me last year, but I am not sure sure about an additional $200. You cannot take your booze or food out in non-vip areas....which I understand the reasoning behind the rule, but totally disagree with.

I will have to wait and see the line up...because I am not gambling my money this year.

Actually if you can get a growler of the barrel-aged barley wine that's on now (or Mango Mama if it appears between now and Lolla) I would pay you for it.

I think Carl said VIP was for two people. but I'm confused by the Lolla site: "Your Lolla Lounge Pass gets you daily VIP wristbands (one each for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) to enter the festival."

Also, when you buy, seems to suggest only one pass per day. Did they change it for this year? I thought $1050 for two could be doable - but for 1 seems to miss the mark...

sleeping
04-08-2012, 04:56 PM
The $1050 is for one person for 3 days. In the past, they sold them in pairs for something like $1600, last year single-person 3-day VIP tickets were $800. This year they're more.
