Schedule Speculation: ACLFest 2012 Edition

How do you think this will all go down?

I haven't looked up any of the daily breakdown, but I think this is how it should be:

Shins/Black Keys vs. Roots/Avicii
Florence/RHCP vs. Iggy/Jack White
Avetts/Neil Young vs. Weezer/Bassnectar

Since the 7:30 acts will have darkness at ACL, I think Bassnectar and Avicii end up in those slots.

I bet RHCP are the unopposed headliner for Sunday with an Iggy Pop opener.
I am very nervous for a Neil Young v. Jack White overlap.

i 100% agree with that first part. the electronic acts should end up in the skrillex/pretty lights spots. if they were gonna be on a main stage, i'm pretty sure they would have put skrillex on one. i think it'll be neil sunday, jack/florence friday, and rhcp/black keys saturday. boom, done.

In the last two years, Deadmau5, Pretty Lights and Empire of the Sun have all played that slot, but they were billed much lower than Bassnectar and Avicii. It's 13-16th billed vs. 8-9th-billed.

Its so weird to think while that was going on, the bigger field had Crystal Castles, Thievery Corporation, Heartless Bastards, STS9, Gaslight Anthem and Of Montreal. All that culminated in Depeche Mode on the bigger field and KOL on the smaller field.

Muse was playing the side stage on the west side and were scheduled a 45 minute set. After 45 minutes they left the stage, Petty started playing. Muse fans erupted on the board after the festival saying Muse got screwed by Petty and Petty insisted they stop, yada yada yada. Probably the pending thunderstorm was a better reason. Muse became a swear word on the board for a year or so.
