My quest to drink every beer at least once seems impossible. I have been drinking the local beers a lot and I have only been able to drink these so far. If I cant even finish two local breweries what is the hope for finishing the world?

I have been to their brew pub. Well the original one in Rehobeth. They also have some places in the DC area. I wasn't counting those in my lists of beer because I can't really remember much. Plus I had a couple at their brewery that I don't think they released in bottles.

They don't make Poppa Skull anymore, do they? Was wondering since they don't distribute in IN if they cut ties with 3 Floyds...
I did have this a few months ago. A local bar stored it for a year and broke it out--it was great.

So there's a thing at Bottom Lounge on the 21st where they're releasing the Three Floyds/Reckless collaboration. Anyone interested?

That does sound very interesting.
Nipped out for a quick post-work pint at Hopleaf yesterday and saw that they had Virtue (http://virtuecider.com/home.htm) (Greg Hall's new cider) on tap. Very delicious it was too - could be a great summer quencher, I think.
Also, I had a potter around Andersonville this afternoon and found that work on the new Jerry's Sandwiches has been halted due to issues with planning permission. I hope they get it sorted out.

Yep Drifty, West Lakeview Liquors has it (and another variety, something about witches). I guess they just switched everything they make to a saison yeast, but we were able to get a bottle pre-change. I'm looking forward to comparing the two.

If people aren't into the webcast thing again how about Sheffield's on Saturday (and Modeselektor at Metro after if you are interested - if it doesn't sell out we can prob get tickets from a scalper for like $15 a pop - Coachella webcast was fantastic).
$4 New Hollad drafts including Mad Hatter on cask, Imperial Mad Hatter, the malted milk stout ... and the supposedly awesome FFF coffee beer for $5 a pint.

Hey all. Chi's hamburger thread made me remember that I should post about a friend's event at Goose Island on Sunday. It's his 30th birthday party, but it's open to everyone and has been written up in AV Club, etc. Basically, the proceeds will be split up and given to his four favorite Chicago nonprofits, including the Arts of Life, Drawing with Pictures, the Neo-Futurists and...one more. It's all you can eat, drink and more, with entertainment and drawings for a bunch of crazy prizes.

First two on tap, the third from a bottle.
Eric's Ale was spectacular.
Stone Smoked Porter was an enormous disappointment, though. I felt like I was being bludgeoned with the smokiness, especially after the subtle and refined flavors of Eric's Ale.

I've really enjoyed a lot of the Lips Of Faith series. I've not tried Eric's Ale yet - your favourite so far?
In other news, it looks like Alex James is going to make beer alongside his cheeses (http://www.nme.com/news/blur/63510). She's So Rye? There's No Other IPA? Coffee Stout & TV?

Absolutely my favorite Lips of Faith, yes. Good luck finding any, though. I'm pretty sure it was only brewed once.
What I really want is this. (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/192/68665) Only two kegs ever produced. :(

...and they've both already been opened? Otherwise, I might hold out a small hope that they'd bring it to FOBAB, but I think the GABF would be more likely.

I've no idea. I just found another source that said three kegs. My guess is, they've got one or two up their sleeves.

Fwiw, the only mentions of it I can find online refer to the Milwaukee event, so I'm guessing there are some kegs left untapped.

Eric's Ale is pretty regularly on tap in the Chicago area. Probably second in terms of availability to La Folie. Been drinking it for years. Been at several FOBABs (maybe 4?)

Probably would've left before you got there, though. Glad you got your Zombie Dust. If you haven't found any bottles by tomorrow at like noon, let me know.

God Dammit! Does anyone have an extra? I was out of town and tried to order on my phone but the links didn't work. Now I'm home ( on the computer) for 12 hours and it's sold out?

:/ apparently 3floyds saved a lot of their distributions for DLD (not my words, was told this from a store owner)

1) is it true they can sell brews from the brewery? ...if so, mind blown.
2) i'm thinking about using the rental car to drive to the brewery...that seems to be the general consensus on how to get 3 floyds

Yes driving is your best bet to FFF. Call ahead - I'm pretty sure they'll have cases / six packs of Zombie Dust for sale - probably some other great stuff still around post DLD.
How long are you in town for again? Kinda swamped with work today. :/

Pulp, I stopped at royal liquor yesterday. Great store. Picked up Left Hand Milk Stout and Schafly Dry Hopped APA. The selection is mind boggling there. Nice that they have the beers that are rated over 90 labeled.
I will trade some Schafly for one of those beer tickets I couldn't get. Hello.
