Bruce Springsteen – Outkast – Blink-182
The Black Keys – Björk – Tiësto
Outkast vs. Björk
Blink-182 vs. The Black Keys
Bruce Springsteen vs. Tiësto
Edit: Also, by this point, I would say Outkast is just as likely as Daft Punk. The heck with all of the talk about the facebook page and website changing color.

Calling people retards and faggots-- especially within a serious context-- is very much a no no on this board. If you're going to be malicious, at least be creative about it. If you feel like someone is using that kind of language inappropriately towards you, please use the report feature.

Badu and Atmosphere both played on the side stage, though. In fact, Badu was second-to-last on the side stage if I'm not mistaken. That said, I would expect Roots would be the 6ish main stage act. They played the 4ish slot before that in 2007, right? As Brynrich pint out, with the infrequent shows they play these days, I think they could easily sub.

well you see, lollapalooza 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011 (Rock Headliner that is) all have had #1's that have been around for a much longer time than the Killer's, bands that all began 90's and earlier. I'm not asking if they will be popular enough, i'm asking if the explosion of a new album could change that.

I wouldn't think C3 would be in a rush to have them back so early (they headlined in 2009). Puscifer is playing shows in the spring. They might be more likely (although they don't really have a "traditional" performance). [edit: Wretched beat me to it]
I've given up on Bjork, but I'm happy to hear that RHCP is also overseas in August. To me, having them be the #1 act at ACL makes a lot more sense than recycling a #1 act for Chicagopalooza. They still haven't played ACL, right?
Blink-182 makes plenty of sense, which I'm ambivalent about. I don't really listen to them that much, but they put on a stellar show back in the day.
I would love to see Metallica again, so I hope they make their triumphant return to Lolla in 2012. I just hope we don't get the full Black album-- although if they're already going to be playing Sad But True, Nothing Else Matters, Unforgiven, and Enter Sandman, it would be nice to get things like Wolf and Man, God that Failed, and Holier Than Thou.
