If I see three acts I REALLY want to see, I'm happy and can fill out the rest of my days accordingly. 2008 I had NIN/Rage/Radiohead/Toadies/Butch Walker and was thrilled, 2009 Jane's Addiction/Tool/Band Of Skulls and was happy, 2010 had a bunch and 2011 had only The Cars and Foo Fighters (who I've seen enough before).

Seriously, gimme three damn acts and I'll sit in the corner and shut up. Say, Jack White/Metallica or Black Sabbath and Primus and I'll be happy.

I'm basically the opposite. If Metallica plays, I'll wait until the schedule comes out to decide if I want to go all three days or one day or not at all. Will come down to how solid the undercard is and who plays opposite them (or closes the Grove that night).

Osheaga Headliner thoughts: Clearly Black Keys are going to be a shared headliner, but what about the others? Snoop already played Lolla a couple years back and didn't headline (Osheaga forgot about Dre). Metric only has high billing cos Canada. I guess I could see Justice, Sigur Ros, and/or Florence as a 5 or 6 act at Lolla, but I still want to believe they'll have a bigger top 6 with those acts as subheadliners. That would make a LOT of folks happy.

Cause Lolla doesn't repeat acts every 2 years? I bet more of the latter group are at Lolla.

Osheaga is an established festival. Kanrocksas tried to rip off Lolla. It isn't comparable.

Marilyn Mason in skipping Chicago (while playing Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Kansas City and an Ohio show). Silversun Pickups have played Lolla before and are doing a bunch of indie radio fests. Big Boi is also doing a few fests.

You've also got to fill the numbers on Saturday where it would be much harder for a band to do both fests.

I don't think Bloc Party are doing three fest shows that weekend. I would agree that individually Franz and Sigur Ros probably have a higher shot than a few of my predictions but collectively I don't see so many Osheaga acts playing.
