I really think all 3 have been on or were on the radar but all 3 have had health issues of varying kinds (kiddoes to cancer). Sabbath is definitely a #1 but big C has made them a question mark. Jay Z and Kanye would be a natural but how is Beyonce and the kiddo doing? Or is it a Beyonce/Jay Z combo type thing - which would definitely be a #1/1A situation IF they are performing together. To me it seems like Chem Bros, Guetta, The Prodigy or a handful of trance guys (your Armins and Tiestos... but Perry's has never had any trance, really) could swing the north stage

Kaskade then Guetta then Armin
Afrojack then Skrillex then Tiesto

Counting out deadmau5 as a repeat and considering Skrillex/Afrojack are headlining Spring Awakening, we're left with probably Justice headlining, IMO... then either Avicii or SHM as the larger EDM headliner.

I think we shoudl keep in mind, the only reason acts like these "headline" is because putting all of the electronic acts at 3pm would be odd. The fact that they "need" it to be dark when they play, i believe, factors greatly into their timeslot.

Back in the 90s i spent every possible night at clubs/raves and i remember when some radio festivals or whatever started having their DJ Tents and some of them were too cheap to get a tent. Maybe things have changed but there was NO part of me that wanted to listen to some DJ in an open field or lot in broad daylight, in the glaring sun. Putting a DJ on one of the 4 main stages during the day will not only be weird, but i feel like it's not gonna work too well. But at 34, im willing to accept i dont know what the kids liek anymore!

It would definitely be weird. I don't think I would want to watch that, and I don't think the "kids" like it either. Isn't that what they do at Ultra and DEMF though? I wouldn't be surprised if Lolla did it too.

DEMF is daytime, but it's not really an "open field" its downtown Detroit. I know Tomorrowland has mostly DJs and they have both a tented area for darkness/laz0rs and open field stuff for larger acts. Sunshine and untz.

IDK, Perry's in 2009 and 2010 dealt with daytime openness just fine. One of my favorite Lolla moments was Boys Noize as the sun was setting - one of the better sets I've ever seen and the sun was right in my face.
