I really hope they post menus on the website this week. I want to be able to plan my options without walking booth-to-booth while hungry.
KITTY PURRY, BITCHES
I kind of wish the food court wasn't such a clusterfuck. But, that's festivals.

The way my schedule is set up I'll only be eating at Chow Town South, Burrito Beach looks amazing. Bring on the veggie/goat cheese burrito.
So I guess we aren't getting the menus ahead of time this year?
Guess not. Oh well. I just want me some chicken on a goddamn stick. Any thoughts? Mercat a la Planxa?
here's hoping they mark gluten free shit like they did last year

on friday, right before the fest, you could go about 4 blocks away from the gates to silk road (a chinese restaurant run by korean-americans who use extra hot and spicy spices from korea in the food) at 19 S. LaSalle, and get the spicy chicken special, which includes eggroll, drink or both. or one of the other chicken dishes.

Anyone else try the Pork of July? Probably the best thing I had all weekend. Bacon / pineapple cheese on a stick probably would be second.
I had a Lob dog on Sunday when the prices went down. Meh. It was fine but a little dry and the coating wasn't flaky. Aioli was killer though.
I did not try the Pork of July. Where was that?
I did, however, try all three burger joints (at least I think there were only three). Kuma's was thoroughly disappointing and M Burger of whatever was just as mediocre. Edzo's surprisingly was on top, and also had some of the best fucking fries ever.
I forget what the Japanese place was called, but the Japandog and the takoyaki were pretty delicious as well.
I also had a lob dog on Sunday and it was meh. I think the best thing I had all weekend was the grilled ham and cheese from that truffle place on Sunday.

What was the Pork of July?
Also Edzo's trip soon anyone?

Whoa.
So yeah. Purple line shenanigans, maybe some weekend.

I will agree that Kuma's was fairly disappointing this year. Small burger, not enough garnish, kinda lukewarm, and too expensive for what you got. Wow Bao's combo box was my favorite this year, affordable and well made.
alady I'm sure you already know this but for those who don't and want to join the purple line shenanigans, Edzos closes at 4PM. Something my friend and I learned the hard way one night in Evanston.
