Ripoff is beyond amazing and it's in my backyard. Just take my money and make this happen.

I absolutely hate when a festival has a schedule that literally has NOTHING going on for any amount of time. Like silence, no acts playing. I noticed that Revival Ripoff does it three times, and one of those is for 45 minutes. (The other ones are for 30 and 15.) I do not like that at all.

And I think I said last time that Revival Ripoff could use a few more acts too. Holy Ghost, Battles, Danny Brown, and Fuck Buttons are playing partially unopposed sets. Options are always good. It helps with crowd control. I like that the capacity is small, but if everyone is going to be at one act, it might feel a lot like an 80,000 capacity with two or three options.

I really, really like the lineup for Revival Ripoff, but I'm going to vote for Rocky Mountain, which has crap I would never see like U2, The Avett Brothers, and Foo Fighters, but who cares because I would have the option to see Leonard Cohen, Faith No More, & Chemical Brothers instead. (The schedule worked out pretty well for me this year, nice job Rocky Mountain!)

We forgot to hire proofers. If we were allowed to fix it we would (are we?)

Nizzle, voting should be public. It's how we defeat cheaters. If you can remember the Alamo, you can remember that too.

I wish I understood why Beck is playing with EC and why Danzig is playing acoustic.
I know that's meant to be racist. But, watermelon doesn't go with Colt 45 and KFC. Colt 45 and KFC is the Breakfast of Champions. The watermelon is misplaced.

Tremendously terrible time-table aside, I still have to give it to Revival.

The conflicts would be brutal, but I still had to go with Rocky Mountain.

    Revival Ripoff

Jeff the Brotherhood - versus The Men? Really?
    Nothing
    Public Enemy
    Phantogram
    Devo
    Flying Lotus
New Order - versus M83? Really?
    Tom Waits
    Yeah Yeah Yeah's

    Mom Jeans
    Danny Brown
    Danzig/Earl Sweatshirt
    Jeff Mangum
Death Grips - not sure why they get 15 minutes more than Mangum and EITS
    Belle & Sebastian
    The Weeknd

    Ghost
Cloud Nothings (another weird conflict, especially with 45 minutes of nothing right after)
    Olivia & John
    45 more minutes...
    Fugazi
    Mogwai
    Nick Cave
    Costello & Beck
(scheduling is all fucked here. Lot of dead time, Cave unopposed, and four headliners conflicting.)

    ---------

    Hayes Carll
    Theophilus London
    Dum Dum Girls
Buddy Guy (though I would have liked to see Huey, too)
    Dizzee Rascal
    Noel Gallagher
    The Weeknd/half of Alabama Shakes
    Alice Cooper
Sigur Ros (sucks to miss Handsome Furs)
    Justin Timberlake

    Middle Brother
    Jeff the Brotherhood
    The Civil Wars
    Anna Calvi
    Madness
    Currensy
    SBTRKT
    Justice
    M83
    U2
(not sure why all the dance acts are in daytime, but okay)

    Ty Segall
    Yuck
    Foxy Shazam
    The Features
    Frank Ocean
    Twista
    Avett Brothers
    Danny Brown
    Fleet Foxes
    My Morning Jacket

    --------

Revival might have some of the more impressive acts, but Rocky Mountain is cheaper and did their schedule much, much better. A lot more bang for the buck, and I wouldn't have any dead time whatsoever.

    I vote Rocky Mountain.

I LOVE Saturday at Revival, but Friday and Sunday has gaps in the afternoon where there's nothing I'd care to see.

Ripoff has a lot of acts I like, but a lot of them I have already seen, and not much different going on from the average US festival. Though, Justin Timberlake, Justice -> M83, and Avetts -> Fleet Foxes -> MMJ make for a great time.
